If you have private chats and valuable information that you don’t want to expose to anyone. You may want to take precautionary steps before you end up getting your phone into the wrong hands.

At times, It’s essential to keep your WhatsApp always on guard. I’ll show how to protect your WhatsApp. Using the latest security options like fingerprint and Face ID, it has become easier and secure at the same time to zip up.

WhatsApp introduced the fingerprint and Face unlock feature to its iOS app back in February. And after some time, added the feature to Android as well.

How to Enable Fingerprint in Android

  • Open WhatsApp.
  • Go to Settings>Account>Privacy>Fingerprint lock
  • Turn on Unlock with Fingerprint toggle.

For iOS

The steps below are for Fingerprint lock. If you have Face unlock feature, commonly known as Face ID, on your device, the same steps work for it as well.

  • Open WhatsApp.
  • Go to Settings>Account>Privacy>Screen Lock
  • Turn on Require Touch ID toggle.

It’s a great option for people who prefer finger or face unlock rather than the older passcode or pattern security methods which required more effort.
